Multi-Sport Overnight Trips

Our multi-day adventure trips combine rafting, hiking, canyoneering and 4-wheeling trips for the ultimate in backcountry vacations.  We will be camping in the backcountry, but with many comforts you would never expect, including: hardy home-style meals, cold and hot drinks, hand and dishwashing systems, and toilet facilities. Tall tales, local lore and legends around the campfire are the norm in the evenings. Depending on your groups needs and abilities, we can customize these trips for any group or individual. All Multi-day trips include: Transportation to and from Fruita, Colorado; delicious meals starting with lunch on the first day and ending with lunch on the last day, refreshments, rafts, camp equipment, safety equipment, and experienced guides.
Going to Mee Canyon

Two-Day Canyoneering / Rafting Float Trip:

Start in Fruita, Colorado; 4-wheel to the Rattlesnake Canyon Trailhead, and view the spectacular arches while hiking down to the Colorado River where our boats will be waiting. Camp one night on a riverside beach and spend the next day exploring side canyons and floating through scenic Horsethief Canyon and Ruby Canyon.

3+4 day Canyoneering / Rafting Float Trip:

Leave Fruita, Colorado, 4-wheel to the southern edge of the Colorado Canyons National Conservation Area and hike into one of the least known canyons in the area. Here, we will view the rock art and dwelling sites of the Fremont people who inhabited this area from 700-1200 AD. The next days are spent exploring the Black Ridge Wilderness by foot and boat. On both the 3 and 4 day trips, be ready to pack lunches and lace up the hiking boots to explore Rattlesnake Canyon and its arches. The remaining days and nights are spent enjoying pristine riverside camps, the river, and side hikes to some of natures most beautiful and unique places.

2-7 Day Custom Adventures:

This is your opportunity to explore Western Colorado and Eastern Utah canyon country to the fullest. These trips will be done on a custom charter basis. Let us know where your interests lie and what you would like to do  - backpacking, canyoneering, viewing cultural sites, geology, paleontology, whitewater rafting, scenic river float trips, fishing, or just a long break from the ordinary - we can make your dream vacation come true.

Season: April 15-Oct. 15
Prices: Due to the custom nature of these trips, price will be quoted according to each individual trip.


Rating System
Easy Easy: Adventure trekking for all abilities and ages. Includes short hikes over gentle terrain and 4X4 travel.
Moderate Moderate: Participants should be able to walk at least a mile over uneven ground on Multi-Sport trips. River enthusiasts should expect small to medium size waves with clear passages.
Challenging Challenging: Multi-Sport trips will be in rugged terrain and may require some scrambling, hiking distances will be 3-5 miles. River trips will run rapids that require some maneuvering in strong currents, and exciting whitewater.
Difficult Difficult: These trips will take you to some of the most remote spots of the Black Ridge Wilderness. Expect hikes of 6+ miles over rugged country. Some scrambling will be required in the toughest spots and ropes may me used to lower packs or for hand holds.
Extreme Extreme: This rating is reserved for the most physically demanding of all our trips. We require that all participants have either extensive back country experience or have participated in one of our less demanding adventures.
