Rafting Trips

All of our whitewater rafting trips and float trips on the Roaring Fork River, Colorado River and Gunnison River utilize the highest quality rafting equipment lead by qualified and entertaining river guides. Half-day rafting trips include snacks.  One-day rafting trips include lunch.   Two-day rafting  trips include lunch and a back-country gourmet dinner the first day and breakfast and lunch on the second day. Inflatable Kayak Excitement

Half-Day to Full-Day Whitewater Rafting Adventure:

The Roaring Fork River and Colorado River come alive with whitewater rafting thrills in June, July, and August.  We have the ultimate whitewater rafts and experienced river guides to enjoy these runs filled with whitewater rapids.  For a more adventurous whitewater experience, enjoy one of our inflatable kayaks, or sit-on-top kayaks. Our river guides will instruct you on the use of these stable whitewater crafts and provide safety and rescue support. For those who prefer a raft, we offer both guided paddle and oar boats. Whatever you choose, this is sure to be a wet and wild white water rafting adventure.

Desert Bighorns1+2 Day Gunnison River Float Trip:

The Gunnison River is a major tributary to the Colorado River and is one of the few rivers in the northern hemisphere that runs due north. This scenic rafting adventure takes you through Escalante Canyon and Dominguez Canyon and is suitable for river runners of all abilities. Between the frequent Class 2 rapids and short side hikes you will have time to relax and view some of the most breathtaking canyon country on the Colorado Plateau. The Gunnison River canyon is home to a wide variety of waterfowl, birds of prey, and desert bighorn sheep, rarest of the North American sheep species.

Oar Raft

1+2 day Colorado River Float Trip:

Horsethief Canyon and Ruby Canyon of the Colorado River lie on the Western Colorado / Eastern Utah border west of Grand Junction, Colorado.  Short side hikes, incredible canyon country vistas, old west history, mild water, and wildlife viewing make this rafting getaway one that you will remember for a lifetime. This river float trip is one that any outdoor enthusiast will enjoy.

Departure and return location: Grand Junction, Colorado.
Rating System
Easy Easy: Adventure trekking for all abilities and ages. Includes short hikes over gentle terrain and 4X4 travel.
Moderate Moderate: Participants should be able to hike at least a mile over uneven ground on Multi-Sport trips. River enthusiasts should expect small to medium size river waves with clear passages.
Challenging Challenging: Multi-Sport trips will be in rugged terrain and may require some scrambling, hiking distances will be 3-5 miles. River trips will run rapids that require some maneuvering in strong currents, and exciting whitewater.
Difficult Difficult: These trips will take you to some of the most remote spots of the Black Ridge Wilderness. Expect hikes of 6+ miles over rugged country. Some scrambling will be required in the toughest spots and ropes may me used to lower packs or for hand holds.
Extreme Extreme: This rating is reserved for the most physically demanding of all our trips. We require that all participants have either extensive back country experience or have participated in one of our less demanding adventures.
